I'm no Jordan but you'll get Mack Snows and Mack Super Snows, with various hets. Here are the % of each het possibilities:

12.5% Super Snow het Tremper Albino het Eclipse
12.5% Super Snow het Eclipse
12.5% Super Snow het Tremper Albino
12.5% Super Snow
12.5% Mack Snow het Tremper Albino het Eclipse
12.5% Mack Snow het Eclipse
12.5% Mack Snow het Tremper Albino
12.5% Mack Snow

Breeding question Empty Re: Breeding question

Since its adressed to me, i'll explain why for you Wink

So lets look at the genes one by one, and as we go through them, look at the results above.

So first, the snow gene.
Mack Snow X Super Snow, will result in half of the offspring being mack snow, and the other half being super snow.

So next, one of the gecko's is het tremper.
When one animal is het for a gene, that gene is passed on to 50% of the offspring. So 50% of the offspring will be het for tremper.

Same with Eclipse, half of the offspring will get the eclipse gene.

So from that, the combinations come from, each of the possiblities having a 50% chance of each gene. So if we look at the Super Snows, half of the overall possibilities will be super snows, and then half of the super snows will be het tremper, and half of the super snows het tremper will also be het eclipse.
And so on for the mack snows too.

Or you could look at it this way... half of the offspring will be het eclipse. And half of the het eclipses will be mack snow... and hald of the mack snow het eclipses will be het tremper.

Hope that explains why it is all broken down into 8 different possiblities.

No, the other gecko would have to carry raptor genes too Wink
Both gecko's need the genes not just one of them.

But you take the babies and breed them back to the MS het Raptor.
The baby which is a Super Snow het raptor, will get you some MS Raptors and SS Raptors. Few, but some.

The problem you'll bump into if you really want to try breeding offsprings back is you won't know which is het for which. This is why having more than 1 het can get confusing.

Not impossible, just hard and lots of test breeding and careful tracking.

I keep detailed records, so I wouldn't mind doing test breeding. But, it would be really cool to get a baby male Ms het Raptor so I can put out snow raptors.
