That is sooooo funny! Who would have thought? Leo's are just too inquisitive for their own good.

Wow good way of making sure your leo has its exercise lol
Is that okay for him ? Not cruel or anything - seems healthy enough from the viv

Awww Thats really cute!
Only thing I see wrong with it, is it seems a bit small. See how the leos back is curving? That could hurt its back. When I had a hamster (a lonnngggg time ago) I remember reading to make sure you get the proper sized wheel, because if its too small the hamster's back bends to fit the axel.
I really want to get one for my Miracle now! LOL

Re: Wanted to show you guys something silly...
So if anyone was to get one for a leo, your better off getting a wheel for a rat or ferret rather than a hamster wheel ?
Re: Wanted to show you guys something silly...
Whatever the length of your leo is, you will probably want a wheel with a diameter a bit longer than your leo (I'm guessing).
So a rat or ferret one is probably best.

Just wanted to make note that you never use a wheel for a ferret. People say that you can, but unless the wheel is HUGE to where they can't notice the curvature, then it'll still hurt their spine. It's very uniquely shaped and actually goes against the curve of the wheel...so it's not recommended to use one. Just good ol' fashioned running around/exercise and play.
Plus, the majority of ferret wheels are metal/mesh only...I'd be too afraid of a leo's feet getting stuck in the little squares.
I would imagine that the gecko isn't really hurting himself since it probably wouldn't go on the wheel as often as a hamster would...but I could be wrong.
If someone gets a wheel for their leo, post a pic!

Re: Wanted to show you guys something silly...
That shows how much i know about ferrets and their wheels lol.
I wouldnt have a open wheel or mesh one, feel the same way as you with their feet and toes :/
Umm they might have thoughts but not always the brightest so you may be wrong or right there lol

You'd be better with a face wheel (or plate wheel it might be called) which are used for African Pygmy Hedgehogs.
But even so, im not sure it should be left in with them. It may be really confusing for them, walking but not getting anywhere.
