I can't really get to grips with why the breeder would breed two enigma's together....

Rainwater Enigma Raptor is a real morph... homozygous for rainwater enigma and raptor. Which would be wrong as then the albino genes have been mixed.
The genes of the parents would suggest it is a Rainwater enigma raptor.

However.
Your gecko clearly isn't homozygous for Raptor though. Or enigma for that matter. Its just a rainwater i'd say.

I think she may have the parents messed up, or eggs mixed.

Jordan, I sooo agree!!!
Lucy has the enigma syndrome. She circles quite often. Now, that I see her parents.... I question why she would even breed two enigmas.

And as far as Ethel, I will just call her a Rainwater.
Thanks!!

Because they felt that the enigma is a "desirable" trait. People who haven't dealt personally with an enigma who was strong enigma signs don't have the proper regard for it's destructiveness.

I agree with you Jordan. What ever you going to breed a Enigma with - you will produce Enigma so what's the point with breeding two of the same morphs together. Its not like a Tremper albino where you have to breed it with the same morph to produce babies like the parents :/

I actually recently found out that breeding a Super Snow to a Super Snow can lead to deformities and still births. For that reason, I shy'd away from a Super Snow pair; and genetic reasons are why I will never breed enigmas. It sounds just awful that the syndrome does to them.

Never knew that about the super snows, thanks for that Wink

My boyfriend and I have a Enigma each. One brought from someone Sam knows. The other brought from a very very good breeder - They both turned out to be having problems with Enigma syndrome Sad x

Yeah, it has something to do with the Super Snow gene slowing their growth rate.

Sounds like the breeder has a lot of "mix ups". Rainwater is one form of albino and raptor is tremper. If she is indeed het for both that is a genetic mess.

She is a sweet pet, and I have no intentions of breeding. She is a good example of muddy waters in the leo world.

No doubt she will make a great pet!! And yeah.....classic example of muddy waters. It's a shame but as stated...she is super sweet and will lead a great life in ur care I'm sure. Good luck in your ventures.
