Additional Rules for the Ethics and Debate section
Everyone likes a good arguement and they are often informative and useful when you fight FAIR. Members are often passionate about their points and beliefs and that is encouraged, it means that you are passionate about herps, and we LOVE that however... passions can turn ugly when a person's feelings get hurt or another member's views go against what we believe. It's easy to see happen when sensitive subjects are discussed. In addition to all the regular forum rules that apply to ALL the forum rooms, there are a couple of extra rules I think that should be applied to this section in particular.
1. Absolutely NO name calling, personal attacks, using of cuss words, juvenile behavior, or foul offesnsive language will be tolerated. All debates should be handled MATURELY, ethically and responsibily. Any threads that violate this, the poster will be warned and the thread possibly locked.
2. Any debates that are found to be discriminating, prejudice, or otherwise ethnically or religously skewed to bash a particular religion, race, sexual orientation or belief will be locked and possibly deleted, and the poster warned or possibly banned depending on how serious the offense. ZERO tolerance on this point.
3. Debates MUST STAY on topic. If your debate goes off topic you will be asked to get it back on track. If it continues to stray the thread will be closed.
4. If a poster is found to repeatedly start inappropriate threads or constantly strays off topic just to agitate the membership they will be banned from this section of the forum. Please remember that we accept ALL AGES on our forum and posts should reflect a "G" rated theme.
We enjoy providing a place for ethical intelligent debate amongst our membership, debates are a great learning process when everyone plays by the rules
*other admin mods or supers please feel free to add to/edit these rules as you see fit*
