should i buy everything seperate or get a desert kit from zilla

No. And for one main reason, Leopard's use belly heat to digest.

You could do one of two things:

1. Buy the kit and end up not using the repticarpet, dome lights, and bulbs included.

or

2. Buy a tank, screen, thermometer, UTH, and thermostat/rheostat/light dimmer.
