ive not had any experience with hemipenal prolapses so i wont be of much help.

All i know is that your not supposed to push them back in, but i presume you know that since you posted this lol.

Id wait until monday and then contact the same vet and ask him if they are supposed to be back in by now. and if not then see what he says.

hi guys,
thanks for asking about him.
unfortunately Snoopy still has them both out and seems to be enjoying having k.y jelly put on them.
i'll call the vets first thing tomorrow morning and see what they have to say.
will let you know what they say or do to the poor boy

hahaha, oh Snoopy. I guess he's a gecko teenager equivalent.

He's gonna be devastated if he has to lose them haha.

I have heard that you can use some hemmehroid cream like preperation H (or whatever is available in the UK for this application) on them to reduce the swelling and hopefully have them pull back in and also soaking him in a thick solution of sugar water (more sugar tham water) would also help reduce them. You would soak him in the warm sugar water solution just as you would soaking for stuck shed.

You're welcome. I have seen this suggestion several times on my chameleon forum. I guess prolapsed hemipenes is a big problem with some chams. From following those threads it seems there generally is a good outcome for most of the animals that had to have this treatment. Hoipefully the vet will be able to get them back in if all else fails. Good luck Very Happy

Thats ok, i was hoping it wouldn't end like that.
Nope poor Snoopy, i was hoping that once he'd healed up and started eating again that he might be able to go live with my tank full of deformed and special needs leo's which are all female. what do you guys think?

If it's safe for him to then yeh i suppose.
Didn't you say he was a giant though? So it might not be such a good idea if there are any small or young leo's in their. Though im guessing you know how to house leo's together laughing

guess i'll have to ask the vet when he has his check-up if it wiil be safe for him.
No Snoopy's not a giant altho i do have a super giant with only 1hemipene after his prolapsed once he had mated with a giant female, all my deformaties and special needs are about the same size as Snoopy, yeah i know how to house leo's together all my females out of breeding season used to live in 2of the biggest 4ft vivs you can get and i never had any problems.
