Black light question Empty Black light question

Post by MrGecko Fri Nov 25, 2011 12:26 am

I have been using a black light (moon light) I think by zilla. We keep our house cool during the winter months to conserve on oil. I have been using the black light to bumb up the air temp on the cool side to 72 - 73 degrees day and night. It's on a dimmer so I can maintain and adjust the light as needed. My question is,

Is a black light ok to leave on 24/7? I know the box said it was ok but I wanted to check in with others and there thoughts. If I don't use the black bulb the temps are only to 63-65ish.

EDIT

The warm side is 92-94 degrees using an UTH. I just wanted to be clear that I use a uth for the warm side Black light question 131791

That sounds fine to me.

As you said you're using a UTH, and just using the black light for a bit of added heat, so it sounds fine to me.
