ExoTerra Jungle Vine

I bought my ExoTerra jungle vine (small) at PJ Pets for ~$10.00 Canadian($10.00USD,£6.50GPB). I originally bought the vine for a golden gecko, but have since then switched it to my green tree frog tank, who I feel enjoys it more.

The ExoTerra jungle vine is completely water proof. It can be submerged into the water, if you have say, a water substrate or pond in the tank, and it can handle daily misting. My green tree frog tank needs daily, and some times multiple, misting and the jungle vine has not become moldy despite the constant humidity of 60 to 80%.

I personally love the jungle vine. It looks great, especially when paired with realistic looking plants, giving the tank a completely natural look. It also allows more of the tank space to be
used from top to bottom. As the vines are bendable, you can bend them into whatever direction or shape you want, fitting them to the shape of your tank. The vines have an almost sand-paper feel to it, instead of being smooth. This sand-paper texture makes it feel more realistic and
allows the animal to grip onto the vine easier.

The vine is very difficult to clean though, because of the sand paper texture it has. Its hard to just wipe it down, as everything gets stuck to the sand-paper texture, you have to give it a complete clean if you want to sanitize it. The only other problem I found with the vine is that for
stability you really need to wrap, or braid, two pieces together. I folded my piece in half and twisted it around itself, otherwise it wasn't as strong as I needed it to be. Which meant I really only got half of the length of the vine I had wanted.

All in all, the ExoTerra Jungle Vine was a great buy, and I'll buy more in the future.
