New Snapper

I will be getting another snapping turtle tonight. Im pretty excited. Will post pics later. I hope the little guy is in good condition. I will be adopting him, so im not sure what kind of condition he will be in. They said he is only 5 inchs and can no longer keep him/her

They are so cute!! Do you mind if I ask about your housing them? Are you keeping them inside in a "pond" or are hey outside? I am curious because I am currently building a turtle pond int he basement for my RES and Map Turtle.

yes, I would be happy to help w/ any questions. I love turtles as everyone can tell. Now I have 18? lol, I always loose count. Jolene, I have some of turtles together and some HAVE to be housed apart b/c they " dont play well w/ others" Like my big male soft shell, he will bite any other turtle I put w/ him. Last time we tried to put a female softshell w/ him and it was a no go. He kept biting her shell and he drew blood so I had to take her out. We also have a outside pond which is dried out right now b/c its so hot and were under water restrictions
