Yeah, he is our only snapping turtle so far. We have 15 aquatic turtles right now. Softshells, yellow mud turtles, river cooters, maps and the snapper :-)

That is going to be a BIG turtle... good luck with that... I didn't think you were allowed to keep them as pets in the states tho...

The picture isnt that great but hes a common snapper, not a aligator snapper. He is going to get to a good size. We have had them before so its not new to me. He is great! And were going to be getting more soon.

We love him. He is doing super good. Feeding well and is pretty "tame" for a snapper. Cool link by the way. We named him chubs, lol

So let me get this straight - you have too many turtles and got the snapper to eat the others and lower your population - cause he will eat any smaller than him!

Just kidding - I'm sure you know that they will eat anything.

They grow fast! Just keep him away from plastic rings - wasn't that pic terrible on the site? Here it is again Snapping Turtle Turtle-shell-abnormal

Yeah, I've seen those pics before. Its so sad. Im glad that I have my babies and they are safe and sound. And the snapper is housed alone.
