Re: egg laying
They can lay up to 10 times a year, but not always that often. Their first season they lay less often. If they have have been breed which is usually some time after January then they can carry on up until October. This also depends upon where you live and the temperature. My cousin is in Northern Ontario and her leos brumate until March at least because the air temperature and such there is so much different.
Re: egg laying
breeding season in england is from march-ish to september-ish.
And females will pretty much only ovulate during this tme and can only be bred with at this time. They will lay around 6 or 7 clutches of eggs in the breeding season (less for first timers).
some people manage to succesfully cycle their leo's to produce a fake breeding season for half the group. Therefore have half the group breeding during natural breeding season, and the other half of the group tricked into thinking it is breeding season breeding august to march. So getting eggs all year round. This is only really the big scale breedrs though.
