Fussy Crestie Empty Fussy Crestie

I've tried my crestie on Komodo CGD and she would not even take it! So I have moved onto Repashy CGD mango and I have seen her ONCE eating it. I mix in some organic pureed fruit sometimes to make it more palatable... But I am still worried... She has always been quite small and skinny since I got her from the petstore.

They fed her solely on baby food and nothing else. I can some times get her to eat a locust or two, as long as it doesnt move away when she is interested in it or she gets put off (shes never been fed livefood before)

I am just really frustrated, 'cos she is skinny and I've been trying everything!

Shes grown to be longer but still can see her ribs... but she is very active and enjoys being handled...

Her enclosure (minus the soil. I ran out and am using newspaper :P)

Has she been checked for parasites at all? Also you could try dabbing the food on her nose to get her to lick it off, at least she'd be eating something. Repashy offers a variety of different food mixes, maybe check out some of the other varities. Allen Repashy has a forum and would be happy to advise you on feeding Im sure. If you want I can PM you the web addy.

When i had cresties i would mix the CGD and baby food together, and also everynow and then mulch in a cricket into the mixture. (i know its horrible)

They seemed to go crazy for it when crickets guts weresmeared in with it.
Try just simple mealworms too, some gecko's are fans of the simpler variety.

I can "force" her to eat by putting it on her nose but she won't eat it off my finger! and sometimes she will just wipe her nose on something (usually me) to get it off! So frustrating! My other gecko is the opposites, s/he eats crickets and won't touch the CGD

what flavour CGD have you tired her with?
mine all really like the guava flavour but all 4 of mine also eat mealworms, waxworms and locust but they also eat the other 3flavours of CGD (banana, fig & papaya)

She is on mango CGD with mixed tropical fruit puree!! But when I went away for the weekend my local reptile shop looked after her (and my other geckos) and he only fed her on crickets and she has gotten fatter!! I threw in some yesterday and she went mental for them!!

I will alternate between the CGD and the live food Smile

I was told by the place I got her from that she would never eat live food as they never bothered to give her any!!
