Some of you might know me from another forum
for those who don't... I'm Sarah. I'm 18. I'm from a boring town in the north west of the UK. I study animal management. I love animals ( Have 10 pets )
and I like talking ALOT

How is everyone today??

I'm goood... very bored though. My gecko is in a mood and won't be handled but my snail is on a mission on my keyboard XD

haha i know it's quite weird .. my mom thinks it's even weirder.. i'll be walking around the house with a snail on my arm. it's pretty gross but ohhh well.. i like strange pets ^ ^

I LOVE that thing... it's so stinkin HUGE I know we talked about Earl before but what does that thing eat? Small children? Large trees??? I'd prob. platz if I saw one of those in my gardens. :affraid:

Hi Sarah, welcome to Jordan's forum. I'm not sure I could do snails - I certainly don't like them in the garden, and I'd probably freak if they were in the house - but GALs probably feel quite sweet on your arm, I imagine. (Not sure I could try it though, sorry).

My cousin used to have a GAL but I never saw it. She's the same one who got me into cornsnakes.

Hahaha I love them, too. I've always liked snails.. picking them up and collecting them from the garden when I was little. When I first saw GALS at my college I was like OMG I NEEED ONE!! :3 .. the ones at college are 6 years old ish and HUGE earl is tiny compared to them. He was free so I wasnt going to say no lol i usually take home any free pet which my mom probably hates. Over the years, I've just kept bringing home rabbits.. and now my neighbour has offered me a baby rex.. :/ my mom is going to kill me lol

haha, well it's winter still here and cold soo he hasn't been very active.. I'm going to get him a small heat mat soon. Atm, when I manage to wake him up.. he eats cabbage, apple and carrot.. and spends ages sucking on his cuttlefish bone thing

haha.. yeah my family don't do snails either. I don't know why but I love them. lol my mom was worried about a snail being in the house, but earl lives in one of those bug containers/pet carriers.. on top of my gecko's viv. And I never usually take him anywhere else in the house.. unless I'm changing the soil in his carrier.
It feels abit weird on my skin.. but I discovered that I'm supposed to wet my hands before handling them (like with frogs or toads) because of chemicals in our skin and blah blah.. anyway, all the water means that I can't feel the slime that earl makes

I like cornsnakes.. they are cute ^ ^ especially the orange/red ones with the red eyes

I wanted to breed them but with two GALS i'd end up with more snails than I could manage because they have like 100 eggs at one time.. and I think they can breed several times... like all year round. Most people end up freezing half of the eggs because they won't be able to sell all of the snails. which is mean.

haha.. I know. One day, Earl will be huge can't wait.

if you did breed them and give them away for free which is what my friend did, you get people take them on to feed to bigger lizards such as bosc moniters and tegus, my friend used to send some over every week for our bosc until we sold her. sticking them in the freezer is mean but so is feeding them to a hungry bosc.

When they sleep are their eyes sort of sucked into their body? if you get what i mean lol. or do they sleep in their shell?

Also just to let you know Sarah, the 'Multiquote' button allows you to put quotes from different people into one post.

Yeah its mean I couldn't breed them to sell them to be other pets lunch .. i know that inserts and such are used as food but when It's something I have a pet i can't do it. lol

The amels really are beautiful, aren't they. Such a simple morph but extremely attractive I'm aiming to breed fires (diffuse amel) and later on amels and fires with white along their sides too

This year I should have some amel het caramel stripe hatchlings available.

I love the look of the Emeralds, but someone on another forum has one and they've nicknamed it Staplegun! It is for looking at only - I don't know how they clean it out!

I don't know much about snakes and stuff.. but I love the look of milk snakes, albino garter snakes and amel corn snakes ... ohh and my friend has an emerald tree python? or something like that.. I've seen photos. they are gorgeous he says they are nasty though haha

haha my college don't know about this forum yet sooo it's not blocked wooo I can go on here.. although it's annoying because the script isn't working sooo not of the icon next to the threads and forum rooms are showing I can't find new posts lol
