Hey Everyone..

I was thinking about jolene's post the other day.. about the rheostat that set on fire.. and how we should be able to name good and bad products, and state any problems about them as a guide for new owners.. telling them which products are the best and most reliable.

Sooo what does everyone think of setting up a review section in miscellaneous part of the forum?

It could be used to review any products that we buy for our herps. we can list the pro's and con's of the products and what we like or dislike about them. And there would be a star rating option, too.

Maybe there could be a section where breeders could be reviewed, too?
Although, it would be a good idea to ask for their consent about it... but maybe we could email saying 'someone reviewed your item on leopardgeckoforum and you were rated 8/10, do you mind this being posted on a public forum?' and link them to the review. like a mystery shopper kind of thing..

It think the breeder reviews would be very useful for people interested in buying a leopard gecko soo they would know the best places to go. We would write comments like how helpful they were? and what condition was the animal in? and rate them.

soooo please can everyone tell me if this is a good idea or not? and add any comments about what you would like to see in the review section. And Hopefully, Jordan will think it's a good idea, and set it up

This is a great idea, just as a way to guide new keepers in the right direction in breeders, products, and what not.

Kind of like cheers and geers or brags and drags. Only problem would be about breeders reviews. Those could be seen as slander and liable if not appropriately handled. There's a lot more than personal opinion based criticisms involved when reviewing people over products. Could be a big mess, but product review is completely acceptable legally as long as it is pointed out "this was my experience with..."

Keep the comments and idea's coming guys, and i might make it possible. If you all think it will be great and it will be used, i don't mind setting it up.
