Awww I can see why rolo may be the better ratter... poppy looks like the only thing she might want to run down is a sausage no insult intended, she's just a little chunky.
I love jacks, and their shorter cousins the parsons russell terriers... it's amazing as long as I've worked with dogs, I've never worked with a jack or parsons... goes to say something for the breed imo

None taken kel- About year ago poppy was attacked by a very nasty Airedale terrier about eight times over a period of two years; all of the attacks were from the same dog who was running free on the streets because the owner let it, all of the attacks resulted in vet trips for her to be stitched back up. so since then she has been very nervous. Luckily I am good friends with a local dog trainer so since then me and her have been working with poppy to overcome her fears now she is able to socialise with other dogs normally again. also I think she has lost some weight since those photos were taken as she has been put on a special diet for her sensitive tummy I also love jack's very much Those are the only breed of dogs that I have ever owned

Aw poor Poppy... how can the owners get away with that stuff. We have some serious laws over in the states for dogs that run free and attack other dogs. You actually have the right to shoot that airedale here in the states. I know that the UK usually has a lot more strict dog laws than we do so it's surprising that that dog hasn't been cited as a dangerous dog and the owners fined. That's just sickening imo. In my business I've worked with several dogs that have been attacked by others and have similar fears like poppy. My boston terrier that we just lost in January was a great help in rehabbing a lot of those dogs that had dog phobias. He was such a wonderful dog i miss him so much...
Anywho Im glad that poppy is doing better and if you ever need any advice feel free to PM me... after all animal behavior is my profession

Hi kel, Im not sure how the owners can get away with it to be honest. Well since then the owner has been visited by the police after we complained tons of times; His dog is now on the dangerous dog list and he is not allowed to let it roam freely he is not allowed to walk it in our local village and when he does walk it it must be kept on a lead and have a muzzle on. thanks kel poppy is definitely better than she was If I have any questions I wil be sure to pm you
