I am new to herps, and figured a leo would be the way to go.

Welcome to the forum 
Leos certainly are a low care requirement herp compared to some of the others out there for sure I always like to suggest to new owners or those interested in getting into leos to check out the housing forum sticky on making the perfect set up, the feeding section on nutrition of feeders for leos, and of course, the show off your set up sticky in the housing section is a great place to get ideas for your viv. There's also a sticky in the feeding section on the basics of supplimentation for your leo, worth checking out Pretty much all the info you need is located in each forums sticky section 
Have any questions, the forum search feature is pretty decent, or of corse you could just ask

Leos are awesome reptiles, and I have a few different reptiles - I have to say leos are probably my favourite. They are so much fun! :P
Definitely do a lot of research before getting one, there is more to them than what people think! I also recommend NOT listening to what pet stores tell you, they are filled with false information!
