wouldn't it be colder in her tank with the tile? Or do you use an above basking type of light?

I use an above heater from a heat lamp. A night bulb though.

Dude you NEED a heat mat... this is not optional for thigmatherms... PLEASE get her a uth.

The tile actually holds the heat really well. I've found since switching to my tile, my temps are more stable than when I was using paper towel or repti-carpet.

Yes i have noticed the heat stays stable with tile more then with carpet
