A Rule i'm unaware of!

OK so if you wanted people to "like" or "subscribe" to your youtube channel. Maybe even just ask people if they like the video's or to help promote it. Maybe even just glance at a video. Could you post a topic asking people to or is that prohibited.

That would be considered advertising in my opinion and would require jordans approval. Also this should be posted in a different forum. I've spent a fair part of my day moving your posts where they aught to be, could you please be a bit more careful where you put your posts please.

Yes you go to the appropriate forum and click new topic then type away to start a new thread.
