The white stuff in the pores could just be discharge, since they are pores they seep, since they're a part of his sex organs if you will, for lack of a better term the secreat a type of musk that is like a waxy substance. what does the tail feel like? When was the last time he shed? Your temps? And I'm pretty sure you use slate tiling substrait right? It doesn't look like a burn to me. Whats his set up like? Tub or viv?

Re: What do you think happened?
41 quart tub, paper towel substrate, 92-94 warm side, cool side temp gunne in at 78.9. In his humid hide, he had moss and it had dried out. So, for now, I removed the moss for damp paper towels.

Yes, my thoughts too Kel. I have had a leo or two shed a little too soon and I found that their skin looked very similar to that. Kind of raw and shiny.
Re: What do you think happened?
I haven't noticed him shed recently, he's quite efficient at it do he could have done it without me ever knowing that he it. Im hoping it's just a premature shed or irritation from the moss, but the odd thing is his cage make doesn't have anything similar so I'm leaning more towards the preme shed.
Re: What do you think happened?
That's what I'm thinking too...premature shed. There wouldn't be any residual shed stuck, being an efficient shedder. Eros had this happen too and it looked shiny and felt a lil sticky, but within 48 hours it was back to normal for the most part with texture and sensitivity. Give it a couple days and see if it clears up some. It could be compounded with irritation from the dry moss.
