Daisy Duke & Dolly Spartan, Jack Russell Terrors
The first one is my beloved Daisy. She is the reason I love this breed. Never have I had a friend like her. I know that everyone has dogs or pets that they love more than anything but she was truly the most unique personality I have ever known, even for a Jack Russell. Everyday I would say to my dad at work, "I can't wait to go home and see that little turd!" I have had many MANY pets throughout my life and I love them all dearly, they all have their own individual personalities but Daisy was truly the greatest thing in my life. I have never met any animal with such a highly evolved personality such as hers, she was like a person in a dog suit. Every person I know, even people who aren't very fond of animals, absolutely adored her. She was like the town mascot. And just for the record, she did not do tricks. I tried teaching her and even with a piece of beef she just looked at me and her eyes told exactly what I imagine she was thinking, "Pssssh, I have WAY too much pride." And she would just walk away. At 7 weeks old I tried to put her in one of those dog round pens and by the time I took five steps away and turned around to look at her sad face she already made her way to the top and was on the other side before I could even grasp her determination. :P
Unfortunately, she got hit by a car less than a week before Christmas 2 years ago. She died in my arms. I held her for an hour while my dad dug a hole in the yard. I'm still in shock to this day. I have had well over 100 pets in my days and I have been lucky enough to have them until they die of old age. The best of the best died after only 3 short years.
And here is Dolly. She is almost 6 months old now. I decided after a year and a half that it was time to quit being sad and bring another ray of sunshine into the house. There is absolutely never a dull moment when owning a JRT. Our house is full of constant laughter again.
After having Daisy 7 Dolly I honestly can't imagine life without a Jack. They are absolute terrorists, probably the most stubborn, proud, fearless, loving and funny breeds I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and owning.

Ahha, I see. It was quite the story. And whippets are very unique, mush like jack russells. They all have their own traits, they just differ in which traits they have.

Yeah I've seen a few in person and they are characters! I wouldn't mind getting one someday. I think my dog Kodee has some kind of sighthound in him, maybe pharaoh hound. He's got that real lean fast look to him. And he looks like them when he runs and boy can he jump a fence like nothing when he's on the loose!

HAHA, when they get running, look out cause they are running. It is something to see and takes my breath away STILL. I do have another one named Bear, I will post some pics of him some time today.
