Stanley threw up! :( Empty Stanley threw up! :(

When I was cleaning his viv yesterday, I noticed that the poor little guy had thrown up. Sad I had fed him three superworms on Wednesday, and he was just about to shed that night too. The throw-up was basically a piece of undigested superworm covered in a bunch of shed skin (I took a picture if you guys think you need to see it), so I was wondering if the superworms and the shed were just too much for his tummy to handle? He is still acting alert and perfectly normal, but he hasn't wanted to eat since he threw up. He pooped today though and he weighs 82g so it's not like he is starving, but I feel really bad. He is just feeling a little icky from throwing up, or should I be worried?

3 superworms is a lot, 3 superworms + shed skin is a humongous meal. Chances are yes, it was too much, so he regurgitated. Chances are he's fine since he pooped today.

How many should I be feeding him then? I had been feeding him either 3 supers or 3 roach nymphs every other day, and I didn't think that was that much! Sad Oops. I guess I'm more used to feeding beardies and baby geckos.

Stanley has trouble seeing and catching mealworms and really little roach nymphs, so the larger feeders work better for him.

Hey Jess, when I go to do a feeding and I notice that one of my leos is going to shed I do not feed them that night even if they are due for it. That way they have room for their shed. I have some adults that will eat 3 supers, but not if they have shed into them already. I would keep an eye for the ghostly look and avoid feeding the night they are going to shed.

Ok thanks, I will do that from now on! I've noticed that Stella eats half as much as she normally does when she sheds, but I guess Stan has no self control Lol.

@herp625: I rescued him about a month ago, and he had a ton of shed stuck in his eye. He's much better now, but still not perfect. He is 15 years old.
