leo escaped and is hiding in unreachable area

My leo managed to run off and hide in this closet with concrete cracks. He's somewhere far off where I can't reach or see him. I've set up a hide, water bowl, and mealies with a heat lamp above in the closet hoping he'll show up. it's been two hours and still no sign. any ideas on how to get him to come out? I'm stressing out.

I think you'll just have to ride it out and hope he comes out. I watched a program on leos on animal planet like 2 years ago and a little boy had one that escaped and they didn't catch him again for 6 months. I think a plumber or electrician or some kind of handy man had found it whenhe went into the bathroom walls, the gecko had lived of his fat stores!

try putting a worm outside the closet entrance maybe?

Maybe buy crickets and put them in a kritter keeper or other clear container and see if she'll hear them and come to investigate.

man i'm having the exact same problem i let mine roam around the bathroom while i was brushing my teeth, next thing i know his climbed through a hole in the wall by the skirting board and i can't get him.. i'm devistated. i adore this animal.

i've put a bowl of mealworms by the entrance of the hole but i don't know that it'll be any good. he's only about 8 months old, very healthy.. but it's freezing here in england and there's no heat in the inside of the walls of my house. i'm panicking.

i'd be so grateful if anyone knows what i should do..

I've got it! Both of you stick an under the tank heater or heating pad close enough to the cracks they're in so they feels there is heat but far enough that they have to come out to get to it....hope of works good luck!

im sorry that this happened. i personally would rip the wall open to get to him and then buy a repair kit for the wall lol but if you dont do that the best you can do is try putting a heat mat with a hide over it and some water and food by the hole.

Awwwh no I dont let Lipsy go anywhere unless i am directly behind her with my hands at the ready. Once she sees somewhere she wants to go explore she runs so fast i cant catch her :') Wiggle a worm on some tweezers infront of the hole?

honestly i tried begging my parents to let me cut a hole in the wall to get him out but they're not having none of it. i thought he was completely stuck but my sister was in the bath, and he crawled right out! the minute he saw her, he legged it back in the hole. at least i know he's not stuck in there or completely lost..

i've put a food bowl of mealworms and his favourite hiding shelter by the hole to lure him out, he knows they're there.. hopefully he'll crawl back out in time where i can grab him:(

I think he will, especially if you have heat under his hide :P

i'll let you know how it goes. i'll put the heat pad in there as well. the only problem is the wall he escaped through has a radiator on it, so he's probably getting the warmth from that.. :\

Aw crap! Well he'll probably go to his hide, eventually. It's probably more comfy and he's familiar with it

my sister called me into the bathroom as he had crawled out the hole looking for food. i managed to grab him quickly. he was black from the dust and cobwebs but i am so relieved to have him back .. i honestly thought he was gone forever.

i had this issue recently, but my boy ran into my closet and hid inside one of my duffle bags that was full of stuffed animals!, i pulled every thing out of the closet, couldnt find him, then i pulled every thing out of the duffle bag, he was in the very bottom. He had escaped from the 3 tub drawer set i had him in, my other two boys dont even attempt to get out, but after him escaping two nights in a row, he got switched to a 10 gallon tank with a screen lid.
