Hi, I'm Brandon
I have 2 Leo's, will probably be fairly active here. I have a question. Is it necessary to have an undertank heater? I am thinking of getting one because I think the temperatures are a little low, and that is causing one of my Leo's to eat less. Thanks.

Hiya brandon welcome to the forums. Yes it is absolutely necessary to have a UTH for your leo's. They get all there warmth from there bellies and it also aids them in digesting there food properly.

Yes, UTHs are a must-have for your leo. Leos get their heat from their bellies to help digest their food, they don't bask. You should have a hot side and a cool side of your tank at all times. Your hot side should be between 88*-95*. Having a hot side and a cold side allows your leo to thermoregulate. You should also get a probe thermometer to measure the floor temperature (air temp isn't as important as the leos are getting the heat from their bellies not the air).
Take a look at this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] it will help you to create a great home for your leos!
Again, welcome!
