Getting this bunnie very soon!!

This is a photograph that the breeder sent me yesterday
It's a lilac torte double-maned pedigree lionhead And she's a girl!! which is awesome She was born on 2nd October.. and I'm going to get her at 10 weeks so in December I can't wait!

Aw what a cutie : I have 2 does with babies right now out of the 7 I bred. Only 4 kindled so the other 3 got rebred for new years babies they should only be 2 weeks behind these current litters so lots of christmas babies here speaking of rabbit manias... our final show of the season... our fall super 8 went really well. I also got pix of our painesville show for ya just need to get my pc back so I can upload them. I got 7 blue ribbons at the painesville show and all the rabbits I entered in the fall super 8 won best of varities, best opposites. You have to get over here someday sarah and do a rabbit show with me once you get your lionhead program off the ground. Lh torts just passed their final showing and is now an official color can't wait to see how this little one finishes out for ya

haha don't worry.. as soon as possible I will be the US! and I would love too but you will have to teach me the american way of showing! all the titles and prizes are different here lol

Wow really? tort isn't standardized here yet.. I'm going to show her but it will have to be unstandardized. she can win some things but not CC's but I think showing like this first will help.. I can gain more experience with it before showing a standardized colour.. which i think are: REW, Agouti, Black self, Blue & Chocolate.

That sounds like a good plan. I just kinda jumped in hand first in smaller 4-H shows with french lops having a lilac tort, one you decide to show a standard color chocolate would be an easy jump since lilac is the dilute for choclate, just like blue is the dilute for black. You could be off the ground in no time with a choc. Tort buck.

yeah this little bunnies dad is a chocolate and her mom is a lilac torte.. out of the litter came a chocolate, a choc torte, a lilac torte and a high rufus? choc torte

I think i'll get a chocolate next.. when my mom is okay with even more bunnies I understand why she doesn't want me to get anymore.. because I go to uni next october and then she'll have to care for them whilst i'm away.

a high rufus chocolate means there's more red tones to the coat than is permissable/preferred by the judges. Rufus basically means red, so anytime you hear rufus factor that smply means red. Rufus = red

haha yeah I know I was wondering if it was called high rufus in the US I've heard alot of people are trying to breed red coloured lionheads so I think the breeder is keeping that bunnie

It's not long now.. the courier service begins on the 13th December.. and she'll be around 10 weeks or almost then i don't know the exact date I will be getting her.. waiting for the courier to call

I wish I could see the pix on my phone but they take forever to load. I'm so excited for u sarah. I have 4 nice babies, good show potential, then 2 from speck which can't show, not enugh broken color >8( then 3 more does due on the 3rd. gonna see if I can load pix by my phone, I've been dieing to show them t you. Yud LOVE specks babies, they look a lot like momma but orange where the chestnut should be and no face markings.

thankyou very much I went to visit a local BRC (british rabbit council) show this sunday it was lovely.. i loved the atmosphere and chatted to a few judges and a rex breeder I can't wait!!

I want a netherland dwarf!.. I saw loads of them at the show this weekend and showing ones are soooo gorgeous compared to the pet ones

Unfortunately emailing I'd be in the same problem. Take forever to download hopefully I'm not too much longer with out my pc. Glad you got to a show. The netherlands are adorable. The brits keep a bit more shaggy coat on their nd's tho. Ours have to have a roll back/fly back coat. I have friends with import nd's and the first couple generations are always too shaggy but it works out and makes a fuller coat in subsequent litters.

Well, my sister was using my computer to come on here on her account. I noticed if she goes on, and then I go on, I don't get the orange highlight next to the threads I haven't seen, as technically this computer has already seen them :/
