this is my 1 year old shepard /lab shes awsome i never ues a leash and ive never had to since 5 weeks old she walked to my kids school off one and never needed it again lol she even played fetch at that age people we shocked back she loves ajility has some neet tricks and even gives back talk from time to time cuz i got her so young and dident uesd food or clickers to train her i reinforced with a ton of praze and difrent hand signals she dose it all from protection to play and even done some proven sent tracking shes the best thing that could have ever came into our family
quick edit : ive read some good books on dog training .. but the monkes of new skete were some of the best tog trainers ever awsome books must read if your deaking with a herding breed for sure
