omg they are sooo cute ^ ^ they are tiny.. only around 4 months old.. and they emerged from their mini shells as soon as they felt the warmth of my hand I took loads of pics
First ever glimpse of my snailies

Re: My New Achatina Reticulata
hahaha i always describe them 'walking' off as 'sliming' off because that's basically what they do
Jordan.. you should get some. they are seriously not as slimey as people think. you spray your hands with water to help them move around on you and you can't even feel the slime
the only bad slimey thing they do is when they poop on you when they are sliming up your arm. it is long and gooey and stringy lol and the new snailies poop is green lol

Re: My New Achatina Reticulata
haha, sorry Sarah, i admire your love for them, but theyre not for me lol.
new tank sorted...
this is my half finished new snail tank.. it's massive.. but it will house the snails when they are big and many babies. Until I have the money, the tank will not be very decorative. It's currently got some rocks in, a food tray, a water bowl.. and substrate.
Re: My New Achatina Reticulata
yeah they have been really active since I moved them.
It's very cool waking up and turning over to check the time on my mobile and seeing a snail the tank is on the floor next to my bed because I have no room and the snails, especially earl, like to climb to the top of the tank, directly in my eyeline

Re: My New Achatina Reticulata
Lol, weird. Though i wake up with gecko's in view. If i wake up early enough they are still awake and doing weird things lol.
Re: My New Achatina Reticulata
yeah they are it's cute to watch. And the little ones have grown abit I can't wait until they are earl's size.
Re: My New Achatina Reticulata

Re: My New Achatina Reticulata
thanks everyone
Snails are not scary! you keep tarantulas that can bite and throw hairs at you.. but you are scared of harmless snailies

Re: My New Achatina Reticulata
ill get a snail if you get a tarantula :P if you get a Eupalastrus Campestratu (Pink zebra beauty) you would get hooked they are the worlds most docile T, and would never bite you and they are cheep!
