How to tame a leo
My leopard gecko anke is only around five months old (i think) ive had He/she for around a month now and each day ive been putting my hand on the floor of anke's so he/she can get used to and I tried to stoke anke yesterday evening, i went from a angle where i knew anke could see me so he/she didint feel threatened but i just got bit anyway. I know leos are more of a pet to look at but does anybody have some ideas how i can tame anke slightly ?

Re: How to tame a leo
Actually leos are a pet you can handle a lot.
It sounds like you are a doing a good job. Keep putting your hand in the tank for a few minutes at a time, and let your leo go up and sniff your hand. Eventually s/he should climb onto your hand, where you can then hold your leo.
If you try to pet your leo, don't go for the head or tail. go for the body. They dislike their heads being touched, and I find my leos only let me touch their tail after they became used to me.
Good luck!

I agree with Kathryn.
It sounds like your doing a good job.
It takes patience.

Re: How to tame a leo
Best way to tame a leopard gecko in my opinion is with time and patience. They are quite skittish when they are young. I guess we have to understand that since when we were lil, we probably put everything we could in our mouths as well. We eventually grow out of it, just as leopard geckos eventually grow out of biting your fingers or running away from you.
You are doing fine with the method you are using. Now all you need is time and patience
