What the heck is going on?!

Alright, I'm trying to post and I can't insert smilies, all the text options are gone, and each time I edit the message gets garbled. I can't quote people and type because all it posts is [quote- for my entire post....what's wrong with the forum? It literally JUST happened and I haven't left the site all day (I keep everything minimized).

Lol sounds like some serious issues. Everything is fine my end. What about everyone else?

First of all, try starting a new browsing session.
Second, if you leave yourself logged in, log out then back in.

Next, provide me with your browser type please, unless its fixed by then.
And some screenshots if possible.

Problem 1: I can't see text editing options and I can't use the smilies when clicking on them

I'd post the pictures directly, but as you can see, I don't have the option to.

I use mozilla firefox. I was able to post just fine until just a little bit ago with no problems whatsoever.

I logged out, cleared my cache and my internet history, etc.

Edit - the garble pops up on any type of edit as well, not just quotes.

First of all, your firefox needs updating. Its not what will be causing your issues, but just though you might want to know :P

Second, its not garble. Its actually HTML. The language all webpages are written in. But i don't know why its showing up for you.

A few things i want you to try, first off log in to this account:
user: LGF Bot password: ninja20
And tell me if you still have the same issues.

This will help determine if its your log in or your browser.

Next, turn off the WYSYIWYG mode for now.
and last, scroll down to the bottom of the topic list on the homepage and click 'delete all forum cookies'

It's still doing it...

I did everything you asked and I updated my mozilla to the newest update. I even restarted my computer after clearing my cache again and my internet history...

This happened when I was still mid-browsing through the forum.

I made a post just fine and then when I went to do another post I noticed the lack of options for my text...it happened within the same hour. I never left the site. I assumed it was a temporary glitch and entered my post and tried to edit it (this was for the "Let's Set Some Records! topic in the General Discussion thread for Leopard geckos) and I was unable to... I call it garble because whenever I quote someone and type, then try to edit it, it smooshes everything together, including the HTML.

Okay, thanks i will look into it. Hopefully won't be too long.

Until then, obviously there is the quick reply to use.
And if you wish to quote someone you can copy and paste the bit you want to quote and put it inbetween quote tags

Should be sorted now. It was actually the new Post Numbers script i wrote. It had a slight typo in which caused that big mess. Haha, my fault :P
