Re: jumping
Well, from experience I know that 5 feet is safe. Lol!
But, seriously, don't let them hit the ground!

LOL Kodie!
I as well from personal experience find they can jump 5 feet off a dresser. Nina wanted to commit suicide apparently!
But I wouldn't make any huts or anything that are too high up, especially as the leo gets into its later life, a good fall could really hurt them.

Re: jumping
Yeah they can do the suicide jump. I have had it happen a few times and it is scary for sure. As long as she is acting fine then she should be fine
Re: jumping
Aw, I'm sure she's fine! They are quick little buggers aren't they? LOL
Until she is fully used to you, its good to sit down and let her climb around in your lap and on your hands.

Re: jumping
banana terrified me once.. i was sat in the living room with her on my knees and the light was on.. my mom came in and turned the light off and banana freaked out and suddenly ran off my knees on and landed on the floor :O
Re: jumping
Geez thatd be scary!
I thought I wouldnt be to bad with her jumping because im use to it with my crested but it's definitly more frightening than when me cresteds jump.

Re: jumping
Oh gosh Sarah! Thats scary!
One time, I was holding Nina and she climbed onto my dresser thats a bit smaller than me so about 4' 8". I put my hand against it and she made like she was gonna climb onto it and then right as she was gonna put her foot down she shot in the other direction and fell off the dresser. She landed on my laptop lap pillow, bounced off it and then landed on the floor O_O Scariest moment ever. You think she'd have learned her lesson but no, she still tries to jump occasionally
Haha, Lindsey, its cause she's your new baby! You feel especially protective of her right now. :P

Re: jumping
It all depends of the age of the leopard gecko and the strength of their bones etc. But personally I would not let you leopard gecko jump onto the ground if your able to prevent it. Its not just the bones you have to worry about, its about the belly flop when they land x
Re: jumping
Oh what a relief! Like I posted in another forum I had my leo jump out of the Vets hand to the floor about 2-3 feet high and it made me mad and scared -_- But thats good he isn't the only one to get jumping! lol
