My 'oldest child' Ripley
This first pic...if its working...is a little messy collection of pictures taken over time. From left to right, from the very first day I had her, to the right then the bottom left continuing. On the bottom right are the most recent pictures I have of her, counting the single picture below this one.
Not many good pics of her, but once I finally get my very own camera there will be plenty, and of Nova as well. I might post a picture of their cage to get opinions on if its good or if changes should be made for their benefit. But for now there is only Ripley
...and ah...any suggestions on how to work the image thing...would be most helpful...I'm not even sure if this is working...oie...

Re: My 'oldest child' Ripley
Thank you! OH and I was thinking about getting a crested gecko, would you mind telling me a bit about them? I find it easier to talk to people that actually own them instead of a dry research article.

Re: My 'oldest child' Ripley
Welcome to the forum! Mine name is Kathryn! I hope you enjoy your time here!
You have a lovely leo and I love his name! Ripley is soo cute! I believe he is a beautiful normal. Is Nova another leo?
I haven't had a crestie before but I would love one one day! They are just so cute!
I suggest taking a look at this thread: http://www.leopardgeckoforum.com/t166-proper-housing-for-leopard-geckos
it is really great, and has a lot of info about housing your leo. It looks like you have sand in your viv, sand can be a health hazard for your leo as it can cause impaction. I suggest switching to either paper towels or tiling (like ceramic or peel-n-stick). They are also WAYYY easier to clean IMO. I personally have peel-n-stick tiles and I love them sooo much, so easy to wipe down and clean, don't need to replace them, and I think they look really realistic!
Again, welcome to the forum, and I hope you enjoy your time here! I look forward to talking with you more!

Re: My 'oldest child' Ripley
I had guessed Ripley was a normal, and SHE is almost a year old haha. But I guess she has a bit more growing to do. Nova is my new leo, a young male. He is a bit smaller, and I would like for someone to identify his morph, so once I can get some pics of him I'll let you guys know! And I did make the mistake of using sand in Ripley's cage, and she got some in her eye. I felt so horrible, but shes ok now. Shes back on paper towels. There will be plenty more updates once I get my camera!

Re: My 'oldest child' Ripley
Haha, I'm sorry! I feel terrible that I confused the gender of your leo! I hated when people did that with my fish, nevermind a leo! Sorry again.
I'm glad you switched to paper towel, although I'm sorry that she got sand in her eye I'm glad she's a lot better though!
I can't wait to see the pictures!
I personally love normals, they aren't my favourite morph, but I do love them! I have one myself!
Again sorry for confusing the gender of your leo!

Re: My 'oldest child' Ripley
haha thats alright Kathryn! After dealing with people who had no clue and pretty much refused to learn her name much less her gender, an honest mistake doesn't bother me. Personally, I'm quite partial to normals but then again I'm still new to seeing all the different morphs in person. Nova is a different morph, you'll see pics of him soon.
And thank you gothicgurrrl, it really means a lot! Shes my nearest and dearest, and it broke my heart when she got her eye infected by the sand.
And thanks Kodie and Sam, I'm glad I got to 'document' her growth too. I had no idea what she would end up looking like when I first got her. I have to admit, I would love to raise another 'mystery' baby haha. But if I let Ripley and Nova mate...well...I just might have my chance! But thats not definate yet.
Thank you everyone for your comments and praise of my lovely lady Ripley!

Re: My 'oldest child' Ripley
haha, yay! I'm forgiven!
Don't you hate when people could care less about your pets? My grandma doesn't even know what it is, she calls my leos "deckos", yes, with a D. XD
I just love the black spots on the yellow body, and all the SPOTS they have! Normals are great, my girl, Nina, is still getting her spots and I love seeing her change!
I believe if you breed anything with a normal you get normals or normals with hets. Not positive though. :P
I can't wait to see Nova!

Re: My 'oldest child' Ripley
deckos? haha it'd be fun just to mess with her, start replacing all Gs with Ds!! And I changed his name, and this time I'm stickin to it!! haha Nova is now Nostromo! You can check pics of him somewhere in the pictures section...I think I put it under morph ID...I've been informed that Nostromo is a bright Jungle, with perhaps a bit of tangerine...
Your Nina looks so much more colorful than Ripley did when she was that age...interesting all your girls are beautiful!!
