New Golden Gecko (expo purchase)
While at the expo yesterday, my mom saw this little gal and got me hooked on her. So mom bought her for me!
She's a golden gecko, and the breeder said she was somewhere between 8-10 months. I love her!
When we bought her she was shedding, and she finished shedding almost as soon as we got home and put her in a temporary tank. She'll be getting a much bigger tank soon!
BTW, she's only in the jar while I take pictures. She's in a wayy bigger tank now.

Golden and Day Gecko's are stunning.
As much as I hate to say it, if I ever lose my very first reptile; my anole Daemon; I'd definitely go with a Golden or Day!

Re: New Golden Gecko (expo purchase)
wow is she friendly and tolerates being handled? I've never seen one of these geckos before. Soo Beautiful!
Re: New Golden Gecko (expo purchase)
haha, thanks guy!
Jolene - haha, I just couldn't stop thinking about her! She was so gosh darn cute! Still is!
Kodie - Thanks, I think so too! The loss of the first one is always especially hard. How long have you had Daemon? I so reccomend one. I really like the golden gecko, she's such pretty colors. Plus, I'm pretty sure they're bigger than day geckos, so they are a bit easier to spot! :P
Sarah - Golden geckos aren't really a handling gecko. They have delicate skin, so you have to be careful when holding them. She did let me hold her though as I carefully transferred her to her tank, but she doesn't like the actual process of being picked up. :P She's a little jumping psycho. :P I know I've said I only wanted reptiles I could handle, but I couldn't say no to her face!
Could you have?

Re: New Golden Gecko (expo purchase)
awwww no i would have bought her straight away!! she has such cute eyes!! I'm a sucker for big eyes if an animals has big inviting cute eyes, i want one That's okay about the no handling.. i like animals that you don't have to handle and you can just observe.. they seem more wild and it's cool to observe their behaviour
Re: New Golden Gecko (expo purchase)
We've had Daemon for over a year and half now, we adopted him from an Anole breeder at the Medieval Festival here in Oklahoma. We kind of just jumped in, and that started all my reptile fascinations.

Haha, thanks guys!
I think she's finally settling in. I woke up to rustling, she was jumping all around her tank like a psycho!
Sarah - I know! The big eyes, they just SUCK YOU IN.
Kodie - I know that feeling! Miracle started my obsession with owning reptiles, but I've been obsessed with reptiles since I was a little kid. I finally had my chance to own one and couldn't pass it up with Miracle
I'm sure you and Daemon have lots of time left with eachother.
