This is getting annoying.
Alright...for the past three days I browse the forum and all of a sudden it redirects me to the front page. I look in the website history and it's called "Free". I can't click on any other forum link after it starts doing this. In order for me to gain normal access to the forum again, I have to empty my cache and clear my internet history.
However, after I clear the cache and the history and relog into the forum, I can only click on approximately 4 links to the other parts of the forum and it starts doing it again.
Also, after I relog after doing the process over and over again, the forum posts that are marked as "new" turn neutral...then I can't see what is and is not new.
I hope this gets fixed soon...I thought it was my computer but I've run as many internet tests as possible and my specs are in gaming condition. Lol.

I am no internet or computer guru so can't help you there but LGF is working fine for me and I don't have any special settings. Why don't you PM Jordan, I am sure he will be able to assist?

Hopefully...I'll message him tomorrow. The forum has been working fine for me up until the calendar was installed.

Re: This is getting annoying.
I am very sorry Cerra for the inconvenience and bothersome issues. We are trying to track down the issue and I believe Jordan has tracked it down to a server issue. He is trying to get in touch with the server people and get it rectified.
I appreciate you patience while we get this fixed.
Cheers

Re: This is getting annoying.
Thanks Cerra.
I am aware of the issue, and i'm doing all i can to resolve it. However i'm having a few issues tracking the exact problem and removing it.
I'm not sure how long it will take, as it may be above me with the server, or if it is me, then as i say, im still not sure of the solution.
As annoying it is, we're are going to have to put up with it until its sorted. If i take the forum down for maintenance because of it, i don't know how long we would be looking at, and we may be without LGF for a while. Which is why i'll be keeping it up and running.
The best things i can suggest to you for now is;
- change your browser temporarily
- if you have facebook, visit the lgf facebook, whenever it begins to happen, and if i am there, i can temporarily take the issues away.

Re: This is getting annoying.
Just got this message from trying to load up a forum link:
Request limit exceeded
It appears that your computer has made too many requests on the same
page recently. Please make sure your antivirus is up to date.
If you have any questions about this message, feel free to contact the support
____________________________________________________________________
Edit: It popped up twice within a few minutes...in fact, I'm editing this post and the ad that is usually on the side of the text box has the same message. I guess that's 3x.

Re: This is getting annoying.
The forum is now stopping the script on my web browser. If I browse the forum for ten or so minutes, I get a pop-up to either continue running the script or stopping it because the script has stopped running.
If I do not visit the site, my browser is fine. However, even if it is in another tab, it eventually starts "reloading" and then freezes all of my tabs. Then I try to close the tab with the forum and the script stops again.
Also, I have been getting even more "Request limit exceeded" messages.

Re: This is getting annoying.
I'm sorry the site is causing so many issues for you Cerra, and im sorry its taking so long to be resolved.
If your using IE, i would suggest running the website in compatibility mode.
Things will look a little different, maybe out of place, but it should help the issues.
You can also find whatever browser your using a 'Script Debugger' or Error Console. And if you can give me what these throw up it should help me better understand the problem.
Your first problem, will be likely because of the constant refreshing when it does the 'You can go back to index...' because of this refreshing your computer is taking a lot of requests from the site.
When it says 'do you want to ocntinue running script?' say no.

Re: This is getting annoying.
I know get request limit received. Which is less inconvenient than the return to index, cause I can just refresh and move on.
Re: This is getting annoying.
When I say not to continue running the script it freezes my entire browser...I don't use IE, I always use Mozilla.
If I idle on LGF after clearing my cache to look at Facebook on another tab, it starts refreshing itself even without doing the going back to index error.
And WOAH. I don't think I can list everything on the error console involving this forum...it's insanely long. I'll list as many as I can...
The format so far is "Error in parsing value for ____. Declaration dropped.
- Display
- Filter
- Transform
- Background-image
- Border-radius
- Text align
- ht
- zoom
- Cursor
- width
- height
Next is "Unknown property _____. Declaration dropped."
- Scrollbar-face-color
- Scrollbar-shadow-color
- Scrollbar-track-color
- Scrollbar-highlight-color
- Scrollbar-eroor-color
- Scrollbar-3dlight-color
- Transform
- Border-Radius
- ht
- zoom
- text-align
The next is "Expected color but found '#'. Expected end of value but found '#'. Error in parsing value for 'border'. Declaration dropped."
Next is full-on errors. 3 in a row: "x is null"
Next is "Selector expected. Ruleset ignored due to bad selector."
Keep in mind that all of these repeat a lot. I do not have time to count each and every error. This amounts to approximately 10 pages of errors, though, since my initial complaint.
Also, @Jordan - You don't need to be apologetic..I just want the forum to run correctly.
EDIT: Right when I posted this, I watched my error console go nuts and fill up with even more stuff.

Re: This is getting annoying.
You see now im confused as i use Mozilla too lol. And there seems to be no issues for me, or maybe that is my admin privilages
The 'Request Limit Exceeded' is down to my server having issues about a month back. They temporarily cut down all there users bandwidth and usage whilst they fixed the problems. The problems still aren't fixed, and now we're beginning to experience the downfalls of this lower usage limit. Hopefully once my server gets itself sorted things will be back to normal.
Thats certainly what i am hoping for.
In the meantime, i am literally going through every little bit of script for the forum, taking out anyhing unneccessary, and making all scripts more efficient.
Thanks for the error messages, it can give me starting points to look at.

Re: This is getting annoying.
I use mozilla && it has not been working properly for about 1 and a half now :O
Re: This is getting annoying.
It also sounds like you might have a trojan from all that scripting. If you keep task manager open but minimized in vista it helps stop paging, also you can go to a site called www.moosoft.com and download the free tral version of "the cleaner" it is a full functioning 30 day (or 30 use actually) trial of one of the best trojan/virus guard programs. I love it. Every time I change isp providers I can download another 30 day free trial sinceit tracks useage thru your is addy. I completely trust moosoft, they've fund problems in the past that macafee and norton missed. Also I use IE9 and am not havng any issues *knock on wood*
Re: This is getting annoying.
I don't think I have a trojan...I keep my computer extremely clean for optimal gaming efficiency. The only thing new to my computer routine for the past month-ish was joining the forum. I've only been having problems once the calendar was introduced.
I have an ip blocker, norton, a registry mechanic, etc etc etc. I haven't downloaded anything (pirating) for over a year now and I rent my movies online via Youtube, Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon.
If I had a Trojan, my computer would already be on lockdown.
Also, my Error Console only acts up only on LGF.

Re: This is getting annoying.
So far so good! No errors, no refreshing at all.
The only thing that's still messing up a little is when I start posting a reply on the "Post Reply" page.
The errors are now warnings:
"Error in parsing value for '____'. Declaration dropped."
- Width
- Cursor
- filter
- zoom
- ht
- text-align
- border-radius
- background-image
- transform
- float

- scrollbar-highlight-color
"Expected color but found '#'. Expected end of value but found '#. Error in parsing value for 'border'. Declaration dropped."
"Selector expected. Ruleset ignored due to bad selector."
There is ONE error, though.
"x is null"
Again, though, I have not had issues all day since the calendar and social bar.

Re: This is getting annoying.
Thats great to hear, i think i've had a look through the social bar and can't find any issues with it. However, when i bring it back its going to be new and imrpoved and a lot better.
The calendar i've only just started having a look at, but i'll post here when/if i find anything.
Those errors you have shouldn't cause any real issues, i know what they all mean. The reason for them can often be scripts which run on every page, but are designed to only work on say for exmaple on a thread page. So when it searches for whatever it looks for on a thread page it finds it, but on the homepage, it won't... so will retun an error. They won't harm the forum at all.

I haven't had any problems since the recent subtraction of the calender and social bar. Not even the "too many request" error.
