Snails :)

Hey everyone

I have now decided that it's much easier to house my snails in a plastic container, like TUBS for geckos & snakes. They are so easy to clean.. alot easier than the massive tank they were in before. I found a good size storage box at the pound shop to use for now, but I'm going to buy a bigger & taller box whenever I get the chance.

The layout looks abit plain at the moment but eventually I think get some fake plants & more cork bark.. there's not alot of space in their container. I have a exoterra water dish, 1 piece of cork bark & a plastic lid that I use as a food bowl.. oh and cuttlefish bone ( for calcium )



If I get my A.achatina that I want.. they prefer higher temps & humidity. my snails atm can live happily at room temp so I don't use the heat mat I have spare.. but I will need it soon

Ahhh. You make me so jealous with your snails! I've researced and researched, but as far as I can discover, they're illegal in Canada which sucks. So I'll have to own them through you! XD
They are just so cute! LOVE them! (And Banana TOO!)
I think the tub looks great! I use one to house my Tree Frog, and he loves it. They come in HUGE sizes as well, which is really great!

I wish you could keep them in Canada are you sure that all species are banned? there's millions!!

Awwww I will have to own a tree frog through you as I can't get one yet. What kind of tree frog is he?

I'm glad you like my tub idea they are so much easier.. and they take up less space.. and they are cheap! this one was £4 pounds.

Bou the new snails are catching up fast to earl... hope he's cool with it. They're all great looking. For kath... you can find out easily by going on your local fish and game site to find out if they are banned. Most are here in the US but a couple aren't.
