VOTM Competition - Rules

Hello there! Welcome to the VOTM Competition! This competition involves taking a short video of your Leopard Gecko that fits the theme of the month and posting it on the forum for judging each month.

Rules:

1. All forum rules apply for Video of the Month Competitions. Rules are listed here: http://www.leopardgeckoforum.com/h2-forum-rules-and-consequences

2. All videos must be recorded by you (or if you're going to be in the video, a friend or family member can hold the camera for you ).

3. Only one video entry a month per person is allowed to be submitted, unless you use LGF points to submit a second entry.

4. No other posts are allowed in the VOTM competition thread other than videos.

5. Videos can only be 1 to 2 minutes in length. They cannot be shorter than 30 seconds.

6. Do not use annoying/irritating/offensive music for your videos. Any videos involving foul or defamatory language will automatically be removed and you will not be able to submit another video until the next VOTM competition. Also, make sure your music isn't insanely loud.

7. If you choose to make an introduction, do not use long introductions to your video. Using "_____ presents..." for more than 5 seconds is unnecessary. Anything longer might be removed, or you might be asked to fix the introduction time.

8. No Rick Rolling. Any Rick Roll videos will be removed.

9. Winners of the VOTM competition will get to choose the theme for the next competition.

10. Competition topics must be appropriate and will not harm your Leopard Gecko. Any suggestions that are inappropriate or potentially harmful will be forfeited and replaced with a new suggestion by forum staff.

11. All videos entered must be submitted before the deadline (which will be posted in each VOTM competition thread).

12. In the event of a tie, a second poll will be cast to determine the winner for that month.

13. Voting will be held for seven days from the first of the month until the seventh.

14. Everyone is allowed to submit videos for VOTM!

Prizes:

Everyone that participates will receive LGF points, and winners will receive even more LGF points as a prize. If you are a consistent winner of VOTM, you will be awarded badges under your name!

VOTM Bronze Winner: 5 VOTM Competition Wins
VOTM Silver Winner: 10 VOTM Competition Wins
VOTM Gold Winner: 20 VOTM Competition Wins
VOTM Platinum Winner: 30 VOTM Competition Wins


VOTM Competition will start at the beginning of each month!

The videos of each month's winner will be uploaded to the forum's Facebook.

sarah your video needs to be in the competition thread not in the rules thread lol. There is a thread called september votm.

It's when you assume a video is going to be something and then someone cuts it to Rick Astley singing "Never Gonna Give You Up" instead.

Once I find a good example, I'll show you... usually the video looks like something serious and then you get Rick Astley. It gets annoying after a while haha.

LOL. Why would someone WANT to make a video like that?

Just to get on peoples' nerves. When the Rick Roll was popular, almost every other video you clicked on was a Rick Roll until Youtube decided to clean everything up.

haha well I couldn't get a good enough video for tonight my gecko was in a mood because she wanted feeding lol and i don't like handling her after she's eaten.. and my bunnie got camera shy.. and whenever the camera was on he decided to stop running around and jumpy lol

I will have to use an old video!!

I will enter a video tomorrow evening I hope everyone else does!
