Riots!

:O this rioting in England is getting quite scary now!! :O it's getting closer and closer to where I live.. they were setting fire to buildings in Manchester :O that's an hour away from me :O They set fire to primark which is right in the town centre. They are really going over the top! I don't watch the news so I have no idea why it started and why it's getting so bad :O I will make sure I watch the new tonight. It's getting so dangerous now!

It's really really bad.. it started in London I think and people are setting fire to buildings and robbing all the stores :O They have to evacuate the shopping centre in Manchester today because the rioters had started :O

We've had some reports of copy cat riots over my end but nothing confirmed. I luckily live 15mins away from the city... So atleast my village wont be affected.... Stay safe sarah xx

It also started because a Drug Dealer was shot dead by the police because he had apparently fired at them. This started riots in tottenham, but because the rioters seemed to get away with looting and causing criminal damage, other parts of london started doing it... now other parts of the UK are doing it. Theres is no point to it, its more of looting than rioting now. Its disgusting.

it's sooo silly... what kind of people would willingly set fire to factories, shops and random people's cars? :O It's soo disgusting. and now random people are just joining in to rob stuff and because they have nothing better to do

I wondered if you'd be affected. From what little I grasp, the British police shot and killed a 26 year old, so other young-in's have taken to rioting.

I don't know, if we rioted like that in America every time the police shoot and kill someone, there would always be rioting. ;\

Yes, but I think our government and police have really failed to protect us. There was some footage of police just standing there while people were looting in the shops.

That is terrible! And such a stupid reason(s) to start rioting!
My cousins are in England, and luckily they are OK, but the riots seem to be getting closer and closer...
Glad all the members here that live in UK seem to be OK though!
