UTH or Heat Cable
i need to know which is better to use for the baby leo thats coming tommrow.

I use both and I must say that there are pros and cons of both. In my opinion the heat cable is much more versatile. You can make a small coil of it under the warm hide and if you find the temperatures are too cool then you can just add another loop to the coil. If you find it is too hot then you can just take a loop off your coil.
On the other hand with a heat pad, no fuss no muss, but if you want to control it you need to use a rheostat to be able to cool it off . But, it is easier to use and all you gotta do is stick it to the bottom and forget about it. So there are up sides to both:)

If it counts for anything...I l ove my uth...just easy to use...

the main reason behind heat cable's is to heat many tubs at once, it is mainly made for breeders to have on there rack systems. For heatng one tub/viv you will want a uth.
