Floor space Empty Floor space

Post by Kodieh Mon Jun 27, 2011 4:31 am

I'm in a predicament. I have this unshakeable thought that my humid hide has to be on the warm side, I can't talk myself out of it nor do I want to, humid = warm and moist; it's science! But I'm trying to figure out how to have a large enough warm hide and a humid hide on my warm side. I wish my tank was square, if I ever change up and get a different enclosure I'll spend the money to get like a 24" square viv built.

Also, Kermit, do you use sand for your "litter box"? and what specifically is the box for your litter box?

I use sand for my litter box.. and I use just normal reptile desert sand made for bearded dragons Smile the red one :P well.. mine isnt a litter box.. its a plastic tub lid with a thin layer of sand.. which I throw away every week or two (the sand and poop).

Sorry.. I can't help much.. but I have managed to get half on the moist hide on the hot side over the heat mat and half not.. but its still in the warm zone of the floor space. and then i have a small exoterra hide for my hot hide there too Very Happy

Personally i think the humid hide should be on the hot side.
I think its a good idea to try and make space for it if you can, but the difference opions over this subject show that it isnt essential clearly.

i dunno, if there's no space, there's no space. Might have to go on the cool side, or inbetween.
