rainwater sunglow or just sunglow?

Here's my new man, Im fairly certain he's a sunglow but I think I heard the guy in the shop (wasnt really listening was holding the little feller) saying he was a rainwater, but somenoe mentioned rainwaters have distinctive markings? help please

Looks possible, but a close eye pic would help determine more accurately.

Yeah i'd say he is. But its impossible to be sure without test breeding. However if you don't plan to breed it, then that won't be necessary, but it is VERY important if you do plan to breed it.

oh I see, and how do you test breed? Im sorry if I keep asking questions but im really interested in all the morphs and such, what's the importance of the test when breeding?

Because I was maybe thinking of doing so next season with my SCTCT, but knowing my luck that pairing will be the same as my tremper albino and = normals so ive been told

It's either a tremper sunglow or rainwater sunglow, it's hard to tell which but lighter grey eyes usually means it's a tremper sunglow. So it's a sunglow, but the question is which albino genes does it carry. It could be tremper or it could be rainwater. But either way, it's considered a sunglow.

If you breed a SHTCT to any of the albinos, you will get hypo het albino. So if this is a tremper sunglow, you would get hypo het tremper albino. If this is a rainwater sunglow, you would get hypo het rainwater albino.
