washing hands after handling
I know its a good idea, but is there anything bad on the gecko that needs to be washed off after handling?
like how some turtles you need to wash your hands after touching their shell, something like salmonella?
im just curious cuz my parents say you absolutely need to.

Re: washing hands after handling
Fear mongering HSUS or PETA will tell you that you should, if you must absolutely handle anything none furry, was your hands and use anti bacterial.
However, I used to never wash my hands or do anything after handling till my wife forced me. Lol. It's personal preference, but you probably should at least use like a Clorox wipe or something.

I always wash after handling eros after I spent a day in bed puking from rubbing my mouth the night before and forgot to wash. Might have been my vertigo, could have been the leo, either way we wash every time now. Fyi don't use hand sanitizer then handle your leo, it can burn their skin.
Re: washing hands after handling
I have always washed my hands after handling leos, ever since my first one at 7 years old (mostly because my mom forced me, then it became a habit). But I mean... better safe than sorry, right?
