Which tile is better?
I'm not sure which tiles are better to get. Which one seems most Leo safe? Thank you

Re: Which tile is better?
Hello,
Personally I would not use Vinyl. Have you looked at slate tiles? They look nice and
cheap and are easy to clean. It is top of the line in the gecko world nowadays

I would recommend the third one.
The first and second one are not scratch and stain resistant - two things you will see a lot with geckos. :P

Re: Which tile is better?
The thing that concerns me with the third tile is it has a "protective urethane layer" while the first two do not. Also, slate tiles seem like a good option, but aren't they pretty thick? Also, I would be worried about rough edges and corners when putting them together
Re: Which tile is better?
Herp why do you insist on this continued path against vinyl tiles. There is NOTHING wrong with using a high end vinyl tile. They do not off gas and most are VOC free if you read the box. They're actually recommended according to the link I posted in your VOC thread. I have used vinyl simulated slate tile for years with no issues.
For the op... Please read the housing sticky on making the perfect leo set up. It will answer 99% of your questions on housing. There is nothing wrong with using slate tiles, they are thicker and some lower quality uth will have problems heading thru them so you'd need to upgrade the uth to a larger size or higher wattage which would mean researching different brands. Hope this helps.
