Sorry Sam, i can't allow breeders names to be mentioned when bashing them. So i've changed it to be a bit better. Could be better as the first post in the 'Let Off Steam' section. Blizzard that changed colour 131791

That's unlucky, that happened. Did she not brighten back up?
My BB looks like the first picture at the moment, ready to lay eggs soon too. Smile

I wasn't bashing the breeder as its not there fault it was due to the change in temperature from the US to here.

No she stayed that colour and is still that colour now even at her new home.

Okay, fair enough. But i have to make sure that it can't be construed that way.

That's a shame that, as i say i have a blizzard, but it hasn't gone dark at all. It might be because it is a Blazing blizzard so the albino gives it that extra yellow tinge.

There are several reasons your blizzard could have changed color. Temperature is a big one. If your breeder was keeping this leo at a higher temperature (which I see a lot of them do so they're of better color in their advert pix) than you are right that would affect color. Keep your leos at the higher end of the temp spectrum for brighter colors. I wouldn't be surprised if your breeder was keeping this guy at around 98*F to brighten him up. Also stress can cause a color change. Re-examine your habitat and see if there is any stressors that stand out to you such as shortage of hides or uncomfortable substrait. Even if it is an acceptable substrait if it is different from what the breeder kept the leo on it will cause stress well past the settling in period.

Another reason could be that the breeder was inaccurate in their assessment of this morph. I know that murphy's patternless thrown in the blizzard mix has produced some darker babies that started out brilliantly light. I've seen a few of those... but I think most of the color change is related to stress and temperatures.

Don't worry Kel, Sam doesn't even have the gecko anymore lol.

And Banana Blizzards have to be the stupidest morph out there. (Murphy Patternless + Blizzard)
