Morph ID Please
I got this girl (Ethel) two weeks ago, from a person off CraigsList. She weighed 43 grams. Today her weight is 64 grams. I must be doing something right. (:
So glad she appears healthy. Her eyes are yellowish.
She also gave me another female (Lucy) that is still under weight, only 40 grams. I am giving Lucy special TLC ,right now.

Re: Morph ID Please
That would be a very nice looking albino. There are 3 strains of albino and a nice clear eye shot would confirm the correct strain. Nice rescue!!

Re: Morph ID Please
Thanks!
I am reading "The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos", and trying to understand the different types of albinos (Tremper, Rainwater, Bell). But I never could understand the differences.
Oh, and here is my Lucy.....she is still in the "hospital ward" getting extra, special attention!

Re: Morph ID Please
Great eye shot!! She's tremper albino. Wow, and Lucy is a tang enigma? Looks to me anyway, she will color up NICE once she gets some vitamins, a bunch of meals and some heat! Good luck.

Re: Morph ID Please
Lucky is a Enigma of some sort. would think tangerine by the orange but wouldnt be 100% sure if there is more to her
Re: Morph ID Please
Thanks!! I am very happy with Ethel's (Tremper) progress. Lucy is progressing. She had a great shed yesterday with no problems. I am thinking she might be a Hypo Tang Enigma.

Re: Morph ID Please
I believe Kodie that with a white tail and white toes it can indicate enigma, but I AM still learning so...you may be right. Either way she is stunning and is exactly what I look for in a gecko.*tucks up sleeve as no one is looking*LOL
Re: Morph ID Please
Ah, see, I've never been shown the physical indicator's of enigma; so I could be more wrong.
Re: Morph ID Please
You are right about the white tail. That is one of the traits of enigma. Lots of leos have white toes though. The enigma when crossed with tangerine seems to darken the Orange to that beautiful red/Orange color that she has.

Re: Morph ID Please
Thank you Patrick, I KNEW about the tail for sure, the toes, I am not sure why I thought that.....lol. Thanks for confirming the identification:D
Re: Morph ID Please
Personally i can't see anything that indicates enigma there. Eye shots can actually help identify enigma's too.
Id say its just a tangerine.
Tang Enigma's have them high white sides, often a strong dorsal stripe and washed out tail.
I'm saying Hypo Tang for Lucy.
And the first one is a Tremper albino... but thats been answered lol.

Re: Morph ID Please
Well, I just tracked down the breeder of Lucy and Ethel. Here is what she told me:
Lucy is a Hypo Tangerine Enigma. Both of her parents were Tangerine Enigma.
Ethel is a Rainwater Enigma Raptor. The father was a Tangerine Enigma Raptor w/snake eyes. The mother Rainwater Enigma Raptor.
Never heard of a Rainwater Enigma Raptor. Maybe she meant Rainwater Enigma het Raptor???
