No using tiles would not be uncomfortable for your leo... it would actually simulate their natural inviroment more as they are rock dwellers that live in the mid level desert region in the rocky craigs and crevaces of packed earth deserts.... it would be like home Smile

dont use newspaper as the ink comes off onto there skin and then when they shed they eat inky feet and i dont think that would be very good for them
