Re: Argus Monitor
He is different..I am not used to him yet and he is pretty hissy. I got roped into babysitting him and I am sure he will settle down soon. I am not used to BIG lizards but I have no doubt he will grow on me as i get used to him.
Re: Argus Monitor
if he's young he will be hissy but he'll grow out of it, just hope your friend comes to get him or you might get stuck with him lol. big lizards are easy once they have settled and are used to you

Re: Argus Monitor
I have him for 3 weeks. The guy is on the same course as my husband and is just too far away right now to take him home. I know he will come to get him because he actually runs a little zoo where he is from and has alligators and stuff too, he just needed a home while he was on course. I may still get stuck with one because my hubby Terry was eyeballing him saying he really liked him and all, o you watch, Terry will buy one and just like the BTS, he gets to play with them and I get to work with feeding and cleaning....lol. Oh well, if I didn't mind doing it I wouldn't allow it.
It was quite a shock though because Terry just said he had a lizard for me to house for a few weeks. Here I am thinking a leo or MAYBE a BTS....he come over with this big honkin lizard and I am near speechless as he hands me a bag of rats to feed him.....hahahah...I bet if they had a camera they could make money off the look on my face.

Re: Argus Monitor
LOL Rick, I do have to admit he does have a personality. I am feeding him every second or third day. On the day that it is his food day and we start eating supper he starts banging on his glass with some rocks. He just pushes them with his head and rocks them till they bang on the glass. His tank sits right behind the couch that I normally sit on so here I have this big lizard behind me hitting rocks against the glass behind my head. There is no ignoring him until he gets his supper too!
Re: Argus Monitor
