Red wigglers and earth worms?
I was discussing optimal diets and varied diets with my animal nerd friend and she mentioned that earth worms seem like a good variance with high protein. I looked at another thread about bugs on here but it didn't mention these and was locked so I couldn't ask. Any thoughts? I know I'd have to chop them to be size appropriate but that's no problem.

They are not appropriate feeders for leopard geckos. Your leo likely won't touch them. Earthworms are mostly raised in compost which means a mix of dirt, decaying food and poop basically, plus you wouldn't be able to properly gutload them. Their body is mostly one giant intestine so that's a lot of crud for your leo to be eating.

All of the info I'm finding online say they are protein rich and can make excellent additions to gecko diets. I'm wondering if anyone else uses them and how often they offer them.

Re: Red wigglers and earth worms?
I brought the subject up on another big leo forum when I got my leo asking the same question and was told absolutely not, that leos wouldn't eat them. Other geckos such wheeleri or madagascar day gecko but not leos. There are over 2000 different species of gecko do I'm sure some might but... It's your choice, you can try it but don't expect much. Let us know how it works out.
