My Leo Im worried
my little leo seems to hid alot i have to lift his hide-away for him to eat. i put him into a 20 gallon tank put 2 hide-aways in there i mist his moss daily in both hiding spots. im alitle worried because he pooped out whole mealwrorms 2 days ago and no he is not eatting not even crickets. he does lick the water drops off the side of the tank after i mist it. i keep his tank warm and cool at night
he/she is very small like about 2-3 inches max (how much should i be feeding him?) how many days per week right now im feeding daily 4 crickets 1 day then 4 meal worms the next then back to crickets for 2 days and then meal worms again
help any ideas

Re: My Leo Im worried
well if you just got him that why hes not coming out. hes stressed out from the change and feels safe in his hides. and also i keep it warm through out the day and even at night. no temp change is needed.
And from your post, you should have a warm hide, cooler hide, and a moist hide around the middle or closer to the hotter side.
And he most likely regurgitated the worms up cuz maybe he was fed to much and now hes full and doesnt wana eat. It happened to my leo when i got him, i fed him to much and he regurgitated the mealworms and didnt eat for a day or 2. Just give him some time.

You can't feed that freeze drier bugs they try to sell in stores. They're loaded with sodium and leos prey drive is triggered by movement. Freeze dried bugs don't move very much
Being that small your les diet is kind of limited for now. Mealies, small silk worms, the occasional wax worm (2-3 a month), roaches, buttrworms. A lot depends on if you're willing to order food instead of going thru the limited selection at local pet stores.
You can feed anything that isn't any bigger around than the space between his eyes.
If your leo is that small and in a 20 long he is feeling pretty insecure. You should add many more hides. At least 2 hot, 2 on the cooler side, and a moist hide preferably at least partially on the heat mat. Temps of 94-96*F. No lights are needed the'll only stress him more, unless you're having troubles making temps.
If you could fill out our care questionanaire we can check your husbandry to see if theresanything else that might be contributng to his behavior
