Eggs are wrinkly and soft
Hi,
this is my second clutch I've had from my gecko's.
The first clutch was a single one and the egg was infertile.
Now around 1-2 weeks ago she laid her second clutch, when I candled it.
The eggs were yellow with a pink dot (size of pinky nail) in it.
So I assume they are both fertile. Now I candled them again yesterday and I noticed the eggs were wrinkly and soft.
What does this mean ?
I use moist vermiculite in a glass jar btw.
Also, when I candle them now. One of the eggs has a lot of veins in it on one side of the egg (other side still yellow)
and the other egg still looks the same as day 1. Does this mean the other egg died ?
How long does it take for the egg to get a full pink glow ?
Sorry for all the questions, I am just a bit worried here.

This means that they are most likely infertile which is perfectly normal for a female's first breeding season what kind of incubator set up do you have?

Re: Eggs are wrinkly and soft
Eggs that are wrinkly and soft could also be in need of moisture. Some times if you put them in a moist medium they will pop back up. This is a common ocurrance especially if you found them a while after they were laid.
