Re: abdomen full of liquid? pics
WOW, I have never seen anything like this before. I thought maybe you were mistaken and she was impacted but it DOES look like liquid. I will do some research for you but I would suggest you consult a herp vet ASAP. I wish you the best of luck.
Re: abdomen full of liquid? pics
Ok, I have done some research and from what I have found this seems the most likely condition. Your gecko probably has lymphatic fluid built up in it's abdomen. Where I found this they gave ways to get rid of it at home but I do not feel comfortable passing on the information, especially to anyone who might not have much experience. I really urge you to take your leo to the vet. They can safely remove the fluid and help your little one out.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the reason she wouldn't eat with this is there is no room in her belly for food if this is the case.

Re: abdomen full of liquid? pics
I don't have experience draining lymph fluid if thats what you mean. I'm sure i can do it though, given instruction. i'm no stranger to giving dogs shots and that sort of thing. I have experience skinning, gutting, processing, numbering, etc. the skeletons of small chameleons, snakes, mice etc. for a college's zooarchaeology collection. I'll do some research, but if it involves simply draining it with a syringe I'm up for the task.

Re: abdomen full of liquid? pics
if it IS lymph fluid, thats crazy because this time 2 years ago i had a lymphoma scare, and had some surgically removed from my shoulder.

Re: abdomen full of liquid? pics
Even if that is the case, there is still an underlying condition which caused it to begin with and needs to be treated by a vet. Please take her to the vet ASAP, she looks so uncomfortable:(
