Re: Taming my Gecko?
Gecko55 patients is the key here. You just need to take your time in trying to handle your leo. Just put your hand in the cage for a little while and let your leo come to your hand and "investigate" it. He needs to learn that your not a threat to him and thats why he is acting the way he does right now he prolly feels threatened. Just need to keep putting your hand in there a few times a day for a few mins and in time your leo will get used to your hand being in the cage and will finally realize your not gonna hurt him and will eventually come around. Also tho some leos just dont like to be handled. So just take your time and have patients and work on it slowly

Just what Jay said.
Also, try going into the tank from the side, not from above. This allows the leo to see you coming. I find it makes my leos feel more secure.
Good luck, it will take time but I'm sure you'll tame it soon!

Re: Taming my Gecko?
Your gecko is pouncing at your hand? Do you know if the gecko is hungry? They do that when they get hungry, especially when they are young. They don't really know whether it's your hand or food, they just know it's moving and they want to take a chomp at it.
Reason I'm saying this is because usually when they are scared due to being in a new environment, or due to them being a young gecko, they just run away and hide. So if your gecko is lounging at your hand, he may be hungry.

Re: Taming my Gecko?
Weird suggestion, but maybe try putting a small cloth or something in his tank that smells like you so he can get used to your smell? That may calm him down to your scent a bit. Make sure its not like a sock or something that he could get stuck in, or something with loose threads.
