VERY watery stool Empty VERY watery stool

Got five new leos today, my male mack snow albino het RAPTOR has eaten three or four mealies already, can't remember exactly. I'll go check after this. Anyway, within the last hour I realized he pooped, but it is very liquidy. Granted he did it where the paper towel had pulled away, so all the moisture wasn't able to be absorbed into anything, but its still very watery. There is a stool in the midst of it, loosk slightly runny, but hard to tell since the liquid is surrounding it. Obviously this could mean alot, and with the stress of the travel it could had been as simple as a upset stomach I imagine. Though what are some things you guys think I should watch for? I always like a second opinion. Smile

Watery stool could be from the stress of travel or the diet the breeder was feeding the leos or even from a change in suppliment brands. It could also be a sign of possible parasite infection or possibly even crypto. Also somtimes for owners that have never witnissed a very fresh poo it could seem out of sorts esp. If you're use to seeing the older dried out poos. I wouldn't take this first poo as an indicator that there's trouble but it certainly warrants keeping an eye on the next few to see if they "normalize". Things to watch out for is failure to thrive. Eating needs to be monitored, count the bugs to make sure he is consistantly eating a similar amount of bugs. If he is and loses weight or doesn't gain as much as he should to suit his frame as he grows then I would take a fecal sample in for testng to rule out parasites. Its good that he's eaten this soon after shipping, that's a sign of a healthy well balanced. Leo imo so consider yourself in a holding pattern for now until the next couple poos but if I were you I would send an email to the breeder just to keep them appraised of the situation in case you got any type of health guarantee with your purchase.

Probably the transport. I had a new female who did that just as soon as we got out of the car at the house. Lots of water, little bit of poo. It's just the stress on their GI that makes them poo water.
